Tera Berserker Builds

In this Tera berserker builds guide I will cover a few of the top builds for your berserker and look at the benefits and proper use of each.

As a Tera berserker you are have great advantage with your high HP and high DPS capabilities.  All you have to do is choose which one to favor for the type of battle you are in.  Tera berserkers are usually a tank class when it comes to group combat.

Your Tera berserker’s build is made up of the skills on your action bar, glyphs, the armor you choose, and the crystals you have activated.

Tera Berserker – PVE High DPS

1.  Flatten

2.  Cyclone

3.  Thunder Strike

4.  Combo Attack

It is best to chain these in order Flatten > Cyclone > Thunder Strike, and and then use combo Attack when you need to take time to regain mana.

This is best in PVE combat, and with the right choice of glyphs to strengthen these skills you will be an indomitable force.  To read more about choosing glyphs read the Tera Berserker Glyphs guide.

Some of the best glyphs for this type of build are :

1.  Glyph of Carving –  This increases your critical hit rate by 10%

2.  Glyph of the Swift – Increases attack speed by 25%.

Tera Berserker – PVP High DPS

1.  Merciless Leap

2.  Thunder Strike

3.  Leaping Strike

4.  Vampiric Blow

A chain like this is really wise to use in PVP, it allows you to keep you enemy stunned, do damage, and steal their health to replenish yours.   With this kind of build and the right armor you will dominate in PVP.

A few good glyph choices for this build are:

1.  Glyph of Power – Increases power by 25%.

2.  Glyph of the Slick - Eliminates slowed movement restriction.

Conclusion

Tera Lancer Leveling Guide

The Tera Lancer is a mighty warrior wielding both a lance and shield to deal damage and absorb powerful blows. They shield their allies, and pin down their foes to allow party and group members to deal massive damage. The Lancer possesses numerous skills to draw aggro from nearby enemies, allowing them to be the ultimate tank.

Unlike many other classes in Tera, the Lancer builds mana as they use combo attacks, and then uses ultimate abilities to release the mana as deadly attacks.

Tera Lancer Leveling Skills

The Tera Lancer will usually start off battles by charging in, and then using Combo Attack to generate Mana.

Combo Attack - A series of strikes that escalate in damage and charge up your mana.

Once the Lancer has a moderate pool of mana, they can begin to unleash more powerful attacks, or shield themselves  and their allies.

Stand Fast - Block frontal attacks with your shield for as long as you hold down the key. Better gear blocks more damage. Allies behind you also get damage reduction.

Shield Barrage - Move Forward, battering targets with your shield. Repeat the attack for a chance to stun them.

Spring Attack - Leap at your foe and strike a hard blow. You can quickly launch this skill right after Shield Bash, Shield Barrage, or the fourth consecutive hit of Combo Attack.

Onslaught - Rush your foe in a series of lunges. While lunging, you’re steadier on your feet and take half damage.

Challenging Shout - Draw the attention of enemies nearby, as well as some aggro.

Charging Lunge - Charge a short distance and impale your target.

Tera Lancer Leveling Glyphs

Choosing the appropriate Glyphs for any given situation can be cumbersome, but after getting a feel for your abilities and reading over the available selection, it should become quite obvious the best selection.

Energetic Charging Lunge - Speeds up the cooldown of your Charging Lunge.

Glyph of Spirit - Increases the mana generation of your Combo Attack by 20%.

Glyph of Power - Increases the power of your Onslaught by 25%.

Glyph of Brilliance - Reduces the mana cost of your Onslaught by 100.

Tera Slayer Builds

In this Tera slayer builds guide I will cover a few of the top builds for your slayer and look at the benefits and proper use of each.

The tera slayer relies on having high DPS and movement speed to make up for their lack of HP.  Your best strategy is to take down your enemies before they get the chance to strike back, this makes the slayer well suited to PVP.  To learn more about Tera slayer PVP gameplay read the Tera Slayer PVP Guide.

Your Tera slayer build is made up of the skills you have on your action bar, your active glyphs, and the crystals you have set in your armor and weapons.  Each of these choices is vital to the success of your Tera slayer, read the Tera Slayer Skills Guide for more about how to choose the best skills to invest in for your character.

Tera Slayer Build – PVE High DPS

This build will focus on the PVE combat that your Tera slayer will engage in the most. This high DPS build will help you take advantage of your Tera slayers strengths of high DPS capabilities and mobility and downplay the weakness of low HP.

Our strategy will be to  stun your target and then take away their HP before they can react, stunning them more than once if it is a powerful opponent.  Our goal with this build will be to maximize DPS and immobilize your target so you can easily pull off the kill both in solo and party combat.  For more gameplay advice, check out the Tera Slayer Gameplay Guide.

The abilities you will use most often are:

1.  Knockdown Strike

2.  Overhand Strike

3.  Leaping Strike

4.  Combo Attack

Use skill chains to  avoid losing time between casts, a goo way to chain these skills together is Knockdown Strike > Overhand Strike > Leaping Strike.  Once you have used these three abilities use your auto attack Combo Strike to allow you to regain some mana before renewing your assault.

There are a few glyphs that are especially helpful when using this Tera Slayer build.

1.    Glyph of Spirit

This increases your MP regeneration by 10%, perfect for soloing and also for long boss fights.

2.  Glyph of Powerlink

Icreases power for the next chain skill by 20%, in this case the skill that receives the boost will be Overhand Strike.  It will make this already powerful skill  even more devastating to your target.

Both of these glyphs will be incredibly helpful for the chain skill set that I have set up above.  It needs to be mentioned that with a different chain skill setup these glyphs would be useless.  This said, carefully consider which glyphs you activate with your skill chains.  Done right they will give you a huge DPS and mana regeneration boost, but done wrong they will just be wasted gold.  To learn more about glyphs read the Tera Slayer Glyphs Guide.

Tera Slayer Build – PVP

PVP is a very different type of combat for a Tera slayer.  Instead of having the tank for a shield while you solely focus on DPSing, you will have to use your mobility and a cunning strategy to keep yourself alive and fighting in a PVP combat situation.

As a Tera slayer you have a few skills at your disposal that will keep your opponent guessing, and that is a major advantage in PVP battle.  If you can keep your enemy guessing it give you the upper hand.

1.  Evasive Roll

2.  Headlong Rush

3.  Startling Kick

4.  Dash

These will all give you the advantage of speed, and when used at the right times will allow you to stay one step ahead (or behind) your enemies.

You also have a very powerful crowd control skill.  Using this at the right time is vital to your survival.

 Whirlwind

Your enemies will not be able to run fast enough when you use this skill, do great amounts of damage to all of them while protecting yourself from damage.

Just as the skill your Tera slayer uses in PVP combat are much different than in PVE combat, your glyphs will be the same.  Remember again that glyphs are a incredible tool and using them correctly is the key to your success.

A few good PVP glyphs to consider are:

1.  Glyph of Persistance

This gives you a 20% chance of having no cooldown on your evasive roll.  This is great for PVP because your target will not expect you to be able to use it again so quickly.  Also, remember that your mobility is a weapon.

2.  Glyph of Restoration

This allows you to regain 3% of your health when you use your Tera slayer’s Overhand Strike Ability.

Conclusion

Here are two great Tera slayer builds to use as starting points.  There are almost endless combinations you can make with these choices,  remember that your type of combat and opponent will effect your build and glyph needs greatly.   Read all of our  Tera slayer guides for more advice on strategy and leveling.

Tera Warrior Builds

In this guide I will cover the best Tera Warrior Builds for DPS and Tanking in Tera Online. The Warrior is by far the most difficult class in Tera so this guide may be a little advanced for a new player.

If you are a new player I recommend checking out some of the introduction guides first:

Tera Warrior Gameplay

Tera Warrior Guide

The Tera Warrior can Tank or DPS and excels at both if you do them correctly. Tanking as a Warrior is very difficult and is for players seeking a real challenge. DPSing as a Warrior is difficult but not near as hard as Tanking. The Warrior is considered lower DPS then the powerhouse Berserker or Slayer, but can hold their own and still be a benefit to a group.

Tera Warrior Build – PvE DPS

The Warrior balances heavy outgoing attacks with lighter auto attacks to regenerate mana. To maximize DPS you’ll want to have a Mystic feeding you mana. This isn’t always an option so we’ll cover the rotations for a Warrior who has a mana Mystic, and one who doesn’t.

Before we get into it, let me clarify that as a DPS Warrior you will always have Assault Stance active.

Tera Warrior Build with low/no Mana Regen.

With no/low mana regen you’ll want to weave your big damage combo with Auto Attacks (Combo Attack). Your big damage combo is:

  1.  Poison Blade
  2.  Combative Strike
  3.  Traverse Cut
  4.  Blade Draw

Once you have used this combo switch into Combo Attack until Traverse Cut is off Cooldown. You should be able to only do Poison Blade every other rotation.

The import Glyphs for this build are:

Glyph of Virulence to increase the damage from Poison Blade.

Glyph of Spirit to increase the Mana Points regeneration by 35%.

Tera Warrior Build with Mana Regen.

If you have a Mystic feeding you mana you don’t need to weave in Combo Attacks and can simply roll right into your second biggest damage combo.

So after doing the first damage combo:

  1.  Poison Blade
  2.  Combative Strike
  3.  Traverse Cut
  4.  Blade Draw

    Roll right into:

  5.   Rising Fury
  6.  Rain of Blows

Since Mana isn’t an issue and you won’t be using Combo Attack, replace the Glyph of Spirit with

Glyph of Power for Rain of Blows to increase the power of Rain of Blows by 25%!

And there you have it, two Warrior DPS builds. The important thing to remember is that once you Combative Strike you are either committed to the next two skills, or you will lose massive DPS. Be sure to be ready to be committed to the attack for a solid 4-6 seconds before going into your big Combo.

Tera Warrior Builds – Tanking

As I mentioned earlier, tanking as a Warrior is a serious challenge and will be very frustrating at the beginning.  Those that do push through the difficult and frustrating will be rewarding with a really enjoyable and rewarding experience. On top of that everyone will be impressed. Most Warrior tanks have reported being almost assaulted by droves of adoring fans who threw money and sex at them.

First lets cover some basics. Your primary, and really only defense, is avoidance, which simply means, where some tanks ‘absorb’ damage, your job is to simply not take damage. Practically this means moving around a lot, however this presents a serious problem in 5 mans. Moving around a lot will mean the boss moves a lot which will lower DPS and can cause the boss to cleave other, squishier players.

The solution is to move back and forth in front of the boss. Moving also presents the problem of lowered threat generation on your part. This can mean the BAM turns and attacks your healer or DPS. So whats a Warrior tank to do?

There are 3 skills that every Warrior tank needs to understand very well:

Evasive Roll – Kind of obvious, but I wanted to be thorough.

 Rising Fury

 Death From Above

Evasive Roll is obvious. If a big attack is about to hit you, roll out of the way. However, you’ll find that attacks come far more often then Evasive Roll is off cooldown. Furthermore, Evasive Roll does not deal any damage and does not generate any threat. Evasive Roll should be saved for emergencies, or Red-Eye attacks. This is where the other two abilities I mentioned come into play.

Rising Fury actually causes the Warrior to take 3 or 4 steps forward, and deals damage on either side of you. The idea is that whenever Rising Fury is available, point your target reticle to either the left or right, perpendicular to the boss, and use the skill. Then when it is up again, point your mouse the opposite direction and use Rising Fury to step back to the other side of the boss. Alternatively you can wait until the boss is about to use a big skill before using Rising Fury to slide out of the way.

Death From Above simply makes you invulnerable for about 2 seconds. This requires some practice to get the timing down just right, but once you do you’ll be able to weave this in while Evasive Roll is on cooldown to avoid all the big, Red-Eye attacks.

Tera Archer Builds

In this guide I’ll cover some of the top Tera Archer Builds and roations.

The Archer relies on a mobility and burst damage. Visit Tera Archer Gameplay for a more detailed look at the Tera Archer basics.

A Tera Archer Build is made up of the skills you use and have on your bar, the Glyphs you have activated and the Crystals you have in your Weapon and Armor.

Tera Archer Build - High PvE DPS

This build focuses on PvE damage. You will lose mobility and survivability using this build, but it is excellent for end game PvE content such as dungeons or the upcoming Tera Raids.

Your three main abilities are:

  • Penetrating Arrow Penetrating Arrow
  •  Radiant Arrow
  •  Poison Arrow
  •  Arrow

It is a great idea to chain these 4 abilities together using Skill Chains. The chain would go something like:

Poison Arrow > Penetrating Arrow > Radiant Arrow

Then use your auto attack, Arrow to regenerate mana and wait for Radiant and Penetrating to come off of cooldown.

Some of the best Glyphs for this build are:

Glyph of Lingering – Increases the duration of Poison Arrow by 40%.

Glyph of Blaze – Increase the charging speed of the following Radiant Arrow.

Visit Tera Archer Glyphs for more information on Archer Glyphs.

As you can see both Glyphs help the build significantly. The first is a straight DPS increase by increasing the total damage dealt by the Poison Arrow. This Glyph, however, is a double edged sword. If you are fighting monsters that die before Poison Arrow can last long enough to deal the full damage then it is a complete waste. This makes the Glyph of Lingering for the Poison Arrow conditional on you fighting a BAM or Dungeon Boss to make it worth it.

The Second, Glyph of Blaze, is also a DPS increase IF you follow the Skill Chain I recommend. Any other chain and this Glyph is also completely wasted. Something to keep in mind when making a Tera Archer Build.

Tera Archer Build – PvP Build

PvP is a very different beast then PvE and bosses. In a PvE encounter, the Tank will be taking most of the damage and the Archer won’t need to worry about things directly attacking them. This is not true in PvP so the builds required are very different. The Archer must use mobility, and crowd controls to survive in a PvP situation. Fortunately the Archer is a master at both.

The Tera Archer has two mobility skills at their disposal:

 Backstep

 Break Away Bolt

And a very powerful Crowd Control:

 Slow Trap

Restraining Arrow- You don’t get this until late in the game (Level 54) but when you do your life improves dramatically.

Visit here for more Tera Archer Skills

The best way to apply the Slow Trap to an unsuspecting victim is to allow them to get in Melee range, then drop the Slow Trap. As soon as it is down, the enemy will break it if they move in any direction. Simply Break Away bolt and rain arrows on them from a distance.

Because the priorities in a Tera Archer Build that is made for PvP is different, the Glyphs you’ll use are also very different as you want to augment different skills.

Anything the improves the three skills listed above is great, but here are some other really good Glyphs for PvP.

Glyph of Longshot – Increase the range of Penetrating Arrow.

Since you want to be as far from your enemy as you can, especially if they are Melee, this is very helpful.

Glyph of Lingering on the Restraining Arrow skill is absolutely necessary.  This skill will save you from most melee classes and allow you to control the battlefield. This just makes it even easier.

Conclusion

Well there you have it, the makings of two very powerful Tera Archer Builds. For more Tera Archer information visit our other Archer guides:

Tera Priest Leveling Guide

The Priest in Tera is a combination damage dealer and direct healer. The power they derive from the Gods enables them to both smite down their foes with holy vengeance or heal themselves or their wounded allies in battle. The Priests ability to resurrect fallen allies, fortify and strengthen group members, and kill even the toughest foe makes them one of the premier classes in Tera.

Tera Priest Leveling Skills

The Priest in Tera has one of the largest spell pools in the game. This can seem overwhelming at first, but once you’ve become acquainted with each spell, you’ll know exactly when to use it.

Damaging Abilities

Divine Radiance - Project a pulse of energy at an enemy.

This is your mana-positive auto-attack. You’ll be using this as your main source of damage to smite down foes from a distance.

Metamorphic Blast - Project a cone of divine energy that damages nearby enemies.

This is your secondary, high-damage, attack that has a cooldown. It also hits multiple enemies, so it will be your main AoE attack.

Fiery Escape - Fly backward on a gout of flame that damages enemies near you.

This ability has two functions. First, it allows you to escape an enemies attack by launching yourself backwards. It also has the added benefit of doing damage to anyone near you while you’re launching backwards.

Triple Nemesis - Cast a vengeful pulse at a nearby target. You can use this skill three times before its cooldown begins.

This is a high-damage attack that can be used three times in succession before it begins it’s cooldown. You’ll use this before using Final Reprisal.

Final Reprisal - After using your Shocking Implosion or Triple Nemesis skills, follow up with a blast of energy from your staff that damages nearby enemies.

This is a combo ability that does very high-damage after another damage ability. You’ll always want to use this after using Shocking Implosion or Triple Nemesis.

Healing Abilities

Heal Thyself - Restore health to yourself, modified by your heal bonus.

This is your only ability to heal yourself. It is very beneficial while leveling solo.

Restorative Burst - Create a burst of healing in front of you. All allies in the burst regenerate health for several seconds.

This is an AoE heal, centered in front of you. If you’re with a group, be sure to restore their health with this ability.

Focus Heal - Lock on and restore health to nearby allies, modified by your heal bonus.

Use this heal when you’re in a group and a single party member is taking large amounts of damage.

Tera Online Priest Leveling Glyphs

Choosing the correct glyphs can seem daunting since there are so many to choose from, but don’t be overwhelmed as once you’ve seen their description it becomes clear which are more beneficial.

Spirited Mana Infusion - Increased the mana recovery of your Man Infusion Skill.

Lingering Regeneration Circle - Your Regeneration Circle skill’s health-restoring effects last longer.

Powerlinking Triple Nemesis - Greatly increases the damage of your Metamorphic Blast skill if you use it after casting Triple Nemesis.

Tera Mystic Leveling Guide

As a Mystic in Tera you will have the major advantage of being able to heal yourself and others, as well as deal large amounts of AoE Damage. You also have the ability to summon minions to aid you in combat.

The Mystic can be incredibly fun to level as, since you can have almost no down-time due to your heals and damage abilities combined with your ability to restore mana while dealing damage to enemies.

Mystic Leveling Abilities

The Mystic is rather simple to play as you only have a select few skills to use. Using these skills effectively, and maintaining your mana pool will be the biggest challenge while playing a Mystic in Tera.

Damaging Abilities

Sharan Bolt – Unleash a Bolt of disruptive Sharan energy at a target.

This is your main “auto-attack” it is mana positive and will be your main source of damage.

Metamorphic Blast – Project a cone of energy that damages nearby enemies.

This is your main secondary attack that has a cooldown. It’s also an AoE but does great damage to even a single target.

Metamorphic Smite – Blast any enemies directly in front of you.

This will be your go-to attack when an enemy is in your face. It has a small radius of only 3m, but does a large amount of damage and has a greater chance of knocking the target down.

Healing Abilities

Arun’s Vitae – Gather Arunic power into a mote that, when picked up, restores health and removes all harmful effects.

This will be your main source of healing early on. It’s also the only method of healing yourself. So throughout leveling you’ll want to drop these before and after combat to regain health.

Pet Summons

Thrall of Protection - Summon a Thrall of Protection that draws aggro from monsters and makes melee attacks.

This is your main pet that you’ll keep active all the time. He acts as a tank, ensuring that you don’t take damage from enemies.

Tera Leveling Mystic Glyphs

Your glyphs can make or break you when it comes to leveling. Choosing Glyphs that strengthen your main attacks and abilities is the best choice of action. Many Glyphs will have chain-casting requirements, though this is not ideal since your ability choices are often not ideal in the set chain-casting scheme in the game.

Empowered Sharan Bolt - Your Sharan Bolt does more damage.

This gives your main auto-attack more damage. More damage means less time fighting and more XP.

Energetic Metamorphic Smite - Speeds of the cooldown of your Metamorphic Smite.

Metamorphic Smite is a very high-damaging attack. Being able to use it more frequently is always a plus.

Fortified Thrall of Protection - Strengthens the armor of your Thrall of Protection pet.

This will give your tanking pet a better chance of surviving since you have no way of healing him.

Tera Slayer Leveling Guide

Tera Slayers are light on their feet, wearing light armor and doing melee damage while running circles around their opponents.  A slayers dynamic combat style allows them to deal devastating amounts of damage with their greatsword.  All of this combined with their damaging stuns makes a slayer a formidable enemy in both PVP and PVE battle.

Tera Online Slayer Skills

The skills you choose to use with your slayer can be the difference between doing meager and massive amounts of damage.  Their is a lot of strategy involved in choosing which skills to use at what time. Read the Tera Skills Guide for more details on all of your skills.  Here I will highlight just a few of your most important skills.

1. Combo Attack – This attack is your mainstay from level one, allows you to focus on one or more targets and restores your mana while you attack.  The thing that makes this attack really helpful for your DPS slayer is that the more you attack the more damage you do.  Using the right glyphs you can give your Combo Attack even more DPS power.

2. Startling Kick – This is one of your slayers essential stuns, by using stuns as a slayer you can do a lot of damage to your enemy without letting them have the chance to respond.  In any type of gameplay time is nearly the biggest advantage you can give yourself.  This is another skill that can be made much more powerful by choosing the right glyphs.

Tera Online Slayer Glyphs

As mentioned above glyphs can make all the difference when it comes to the DPS power of your skills.   Choosing the right glyphs for your character and type of battle can make you able to damage so quickly your enemies will be conquered before they know what hit them.

1. Empowered Knockdown Strike – Choosing this glyph makes your stun last longer allowing you to do more damage to your enemy before they have a chance to react.  Your stuns become more and more important as you battle more powerful monsters.  This is a good thing to focus on when choosing glyphs, make sure you think of the fight start to finish rather than just zeroing in on DPS boosting glyphs.  If you do this you will be much more powerful and do much more DPS.  This skill not only stuns your opponent but also does damage to them.

2. Fleetfooted Evasive Roll – Evasive roll is a powerful tool when you are fighting a target that is much more powerful than you.  Using this skill allows you to dodge their attacks, avoiding injury.  This glyph makes that ability even more powerful and allows you to solo even with limited health.  This skill is great for use in PVP combat, read more about how to PVP with your slayer in the Tera Slayer PVP Guide.

Tera Slayer Skills Chains

Chaining your skill is an important time saver.  Chaining your skills allows you to smoothly transition from skill to skill with no down time. As we all know when you are in combat fractions of a second can be the difference between dominating a fight and losing it.  There is a great deal of strategy involved in setting up your slayers skill chains, the way they are set up can and should vary in different types of combat. Below are just a few examples of good skill chains.

This chain is good for solo DPS use.

1. Startling Kick – Start out by stunning your enemy, give yourself the upper hand right from the begging of the fight.  Doing this allows you to pull of some DPS before your enemy has a chance to strike back.

2. Combo Attack – Keep your mana up and do more damage with every strike, a good way to deplete your enemy’s health while keeping yourself charged up for battle.

3. Overhand Strike – This skill is even more powerful when used right after another one of you melee attacks.  Use this quick attack to diminish your opponents health.

4. Distant Blade – At this point your target should be hurting, so take this chance to deal more damage with the three consecutive hits your Distant Blade skill will do at once.

5. Fury Strike – Now to finish them off, this attack is more powerful the lower your health is.  With this in mind, it is most powerful when used at the end of a fight as at least some of your health will be gone.  Use this powerful blow as your final strike on your target.

This skill chain will be better for multi-target and group combat.

1.  Knockdown Strike – Knock your enemies down and start the DPS.

2.  Whirlwind – This skill allows you to do damage to multiple targets at the same time.  It is a great AOE skill and very useful for clearing mobs, a must for group play.

3. Headlong Rush – Make your next attack more powerful by charging your enemy and gaining some adrenaline to pump you up.

4. Combo Attack – Made even more powerful by Headlong Rush, your combo attack will do damage to multiple targets gaining strength with each blow.

5.  Overhand Strike – Use the momentum from your earlier strikes to zero in on one enemy and do a large amount of DPS.

These are not perfect for every situation, but I hope they will help you in thinking about your own strategies for combat.  There is a lot of good information on effective gameplay in the the Tera Slayer Gameplay Guide. Read all of our guide to learn the best strategies for leveling and playing Tera, happy leveling!

Tera Berserker Leveling Guide

A Berserker is a melee burst DPS class, they wear heavy armor and are constantly moving.

Berserkers can do massive amounts of damage with their charge up attacks.  Berserkers use MP (mana points), when they are in combat dealing damage, it is fairly easy for them to maintain their MP.  When a Berserker uses their power to block incoming attacks they lose their MP quickly.

Berserkers are especially powerful in situations where they have multiple targets.  A Berserkers relentless assaults make them great solo players and invaluable party members.

Tera Berserker Leveling Skills

A very important part of your strategy as a Berserker will be to keep yourself in combat as much as possible.  The longer you remain in combat the more powerful you become. Two important combat skills early on in leveling are:

1. Cyclone – This sends you spinning in a circle with your axe, doing damage to any nearby enemies.  This allows you to do damage to multiple targets, remember that this is one of your best strengths.

2. Combo Attack – This basic attack is important throughout gameplay.  This attack does two important things, it restores mana and it becomes more powerful with each of its multiple strikes.  This is very important in solo play when you don’t have someone else to take the focus while you restore mana.

These are both important attack skills for your DPS berserker character, it is also  important to protect yourself from damage.  Here are a few examples of good blocking skills.

1. Axe Block – This is a skill you have from level one, it becomes more powerful as you level your weapon skills.  It remains important throughout leveling your Berserker.

2. Vampiric Blow – You won’t get this skill until level sixteen, it allows you to steal some of you opponents damage for yourself.  This skill is very important in PVP, to learn more about PVP game play for berserkers read the Berserker PVP Guide.

Berserker Leveling Glyphs

Glyphs can give your character a great deal of versatility, some are very valuable for dealing damage in a group, yet almost useless in leveling.  Studying the different glyphs and their effects is essential to effective leveling. Here are a few glyphs that are absolutely necessary for leveling.

1. Fleetfooted Fiery Rage – This Glyph gives you the indispensable advantage of speed.  Whether running towards or away from an enemy speed is imperative to conquering enemies and leveling your Berserker.

2. Balancing Tenacity – Protection from knockdowns and immobility traps is crucial to your survival when you are playing solo.

3. Mindsparked Axe Block – Maintaining mana while you attack multiplies your power as a berserker, this is a must for leveling.

Only a few of your glyph choices have been highlighted here, to learn more about glyphs and how they work read the Tera Berserker Glyph Guide.

Berserker Leveling Skill Chains

There are many ways to set up your skill chains, it’s best to set them up according to what type of combat you are going to be engaging in.  These can be changed any time and should be used as a tool to keep you effective in combat.  Using this tool correctly can greatly increase your DPS and therefore help you level faster.  Below is a good example of a leveling skill chain.

1. Flatten – Stun your enemies before they get the chance to do any damage.

2. Cyclone – Do massive amounts of damage to multiple targets, finishing off the ones with less health.

3. Combo Attack – Deal further damage and replenish mana.

4. Vampiric Blow – Steal your enemies health and replenish your own, making it easier to continue with your attack.

5. Thunder Strike – Finish off your target with this devastating blow.

The wonderful thing about skill chains is that you can make them as long or short as you want to, and you can also tailor them for specific boss fights.  The possibilities for your skill chains are able to conform to any strategy.  A good AOE chain can ensure victory for your party in a boss fight.  This chain will focus solely on doing as much AOE damage as possible and assuming that there is a healer present so you won’t have to focus on restoring your own health.

1.  Inescapable Doom – Make sure your targets stay close.

2.  Cyclone – Do damage to all your slow moving targets.

3. Combo Attack – Keep your mana restored and keep your DPS at the top of the charts.

4. Thunder Strike – Choose one enemy and deal massive damage, good for taking down a powerful enemy.  This is good when you have more than one target with high health to take down in a boss fight.

As a berserker stuns are one of your most powerful assets.  Make sure that whatever skill chain you choose and whatever you are fighting that you utilize one of your stuns.  This is the best way you can keep your berserker doing damage and also to avoid damage and stuns yourself.  Read our Tera Berserker Skill Guide to learn more your skills and how to set up chains.

There is also a great guide on how to most effectively play your character when you are leveling.  Read the Tera Berserker Gameplay Guide for tips and advice on  exploiting all of your Berserkers strengths and diminishing your weaknesses.

Tera Sorcerer Leveling Guide

As a Sorcerer in Tera, you are a VERY powerful, but extremely fragile ranged caster. You focus on bringing down your foes, before they have a chance to reach/attack yourself. You are able to do this through many different slowing/freezing effects at your disposal.

Although you are a ranged class, some of your abilities do less damage the further away the target is. This shouldn’t be a hindrance, but rather a chance to prove your worth by keeping the enemy at medium range for most damage.

Sorcerer Leveling Skills

The Tera Sorcerer has many skills at their disposal to help while leveling. Most of these will be centered around keeping the enemies at ranged while you rain elemental destruction down on them for the kill.

Ice Needle - Launches an ice needle which travels up to 18m and hits all targets along its path. This causes the enemy to be frozen, which reduces their movement speed.

Glacial Retreat - Creates an area of frost in front of the caster which moves the caster backwards. Enemies hit by this attack take damage and have their movement speed decreased by 70% for a short time.

Lightning Trap - Creates a trap at the caster’s feet. When triggered, it damages and stuns targets them for a short time. The trap will last for up to 10 seconds.

Sorcerer Leveling Glyphs

Lingering Ice Needle

The chill from our Ice Needle skill slows your target even longer.  Your target is stuck closer to you longer, allowing you to do more damage.

Lingering Glacial Retreat

Slow your opponents down even longer with your glacial retreat skill.  Allows you to put distance between you and your enemy, good for running away from an opponent that is too powerful for you to defeat.

Longshot Fireball

The range of your Fireball spell is increased.  This Tera Sorcerer Glyph allows you to strengthen your ranged attack, making it easier to cast on a target that is moving.
